Usually at this time of year, all over the country, there would be maypole dancing and parades. To keep the tradition going and to provide some colour we’re going to hold a virtual parade of maypoles and we’d like as many people as possible to take part.

What you need to do:
• Make your own mini (or bigger!) maypole. You can use any materials you like…enjoy being creative! (see pictures for examples)

• Send a photograph of your maypole and a short video in landscape of you walking or skipping holding your maypole towards the camera and veering off to the left or right as you get close to the camera. Send them to Maypole Movers on

• Adults – don’t let it only be a children’s parade!! Get involved too.
